Meet Elizabeth

Elizabeth Holmes is a New York Times best-selling author and veteran multimedia reporter. Her first book, HRH: So Many Thoughts on Royal Style, debuted on the New York Times best-seller list in November 2020. The Financial Times called it “a smooth, entertaining read fizzing with insight.”

A contributing editor at Town & Country, Elizabeth’s work has appeared in a host of national outlets, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, Real Simple, and InStyle. She is also the creator of the Webby-honored Instagram Stories series “So Many Thoughts,” which offers sartorial commentary on the royal family.

Elizabeth spent more than a decade on staff at The Wall Street Journal, most recently as a senior style reporter and columnist focusing on the business of fashion and beauty. Prior to her feature reporting role, Elizabeth was part of The Wall Street Journal's corporate team, regularly breaking market-moving news on major retailers and apparel makers. She earned her stripes at the paper as a political reporter, trailing John McCain, Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney throughout the 2008 presidential campaign.

She began her journalism career as an on-air correspondent for a television station in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and later became a general assignment reporter at a suburban Chicago newspaper.

Elizabeth holds degrees with honors from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their three children.
